While working with Micha Anikst, I contributed to the design of "The Ismailis - An Illustrated History". This four chapter book traces the history of the Ismailis - a highly diverse Shi'a Muslim community that stretches back more than 14 centuries to the formative period of Islam. The book talks about the formation of the Ismailis within the context of Islamic and world history and relates how the community has developed in different parts of the world.
Each chapter is fully illustrated and accompanied by relevant maps and diagrams such as genealogical charts. The book has more than 300 illustrations, most in colour, consisting of images from illustrated manuscripts, artefacts, architecture, community documents, as well as important historical and contemporary photographs of members of the Ismaili community (many from private collections and archives) and the varied geographical contexts in which they live.
